ORS is responsible for the Austria-wide expansion and distribution of digital radio programmes. It operates two nationwide and five regional DAB+ multiplexes that broadcast more than 40 digital radio programmes. With a high-quality DAB+ network, ORS reaches around 84 per cent of the Austrian population both nationally and regionally.

Crystal clear sound and digital programme diversity
In addition to its nationwide DAB+ transmitter network covering the entirety of Austria through two national multiplexes, ORS serves as a technical service provider for regional DAB+ coverage. ORS operates five regional DAB+ multiplexes for this purpose. Moreover, ORS manages eight additional multiplexes to extend coverage into Switzerland, Bavaria, and Baden-Württemberg.
DAB+ offers not only a diverse range of programs but also enhances the radio experience with various multimedia services such as electronic program guides, weather maps, news updates, and traffic information. This interactivity makes radio listening more engaging. Additionally, DAB+ ensures excellent digital radio reception "on the road," as all new cars in Austria are now equipped with DAB+ receivers.

In addition to the nationwide DAB+ transmitter network, which covers the whole of Austria via the national multiplex, ORS also acts as a technical service provider for regional DAB+ coverage. To this end, ORS operates a regional DAB+ multiplex in Vienna, which broadcasts 14 programmes in Vienna and the surrounding area. In addition, ORS serves eight further multiplexes for coverage of Switzerland, Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg.
